   The book launch was held on February 12, 2001, at Hudson Hotel in NYC. Maria staged "a city wedding" and when the couple turned to walk arm-in-arm down the aisle, the bride and groom were showered with words of love and best wishes - literally!

   Since its debut, our confetti has been copied by other companies (*sigh*) but you may have caught a glimpse or mention of ours in Maria McBride-Mellinger's new book The Perfect Wedding Details (2004 release), in magazines such as New York magazine's Weddings' Spring 2004 issue, Gifts & Dec, Gifts & Decorative Accessories, October 2002 issue, the September/October 2002 issue of Bride's magazine, IN STYLE Weddings' January 2002 issue and it was featured as a full page editorial in the August/September 2001 issue of Bride's magazine.

   Our confetti is made of light weight paper and was designed for tossing (and it flutters down so beautifully!) but it can certainly be used to decorate tables. So, if you can't toss confetti, you could decorate your reception tables with it or offer the confetti packets to your guests as a keepsake - a perfect opportunity to personalize it (see customization details below). The individual confetti pieces range from 1/4" square to 1/4" X 3/8". It's tiny and begs to be tossed!

   We offer the confetti in five standard colors - blue/coral, champagne, green, pink/lavender and yellow. (The photo of the champagne confetti makes it look much more yellow than it is.... it's ivory, sand and white paper and the words are printed with gold ink.)

   Because of the different situations for each wedding, we offer our confetti three ways: pre-packaged by DHP for your convenience; do-it-yourself kits or in bulk.

   For your convenience, we offer pre-packaged confetti with a minimum order of 50 packets required then ordered in groups of 25. Each packet measures about 2 3/4" X 2 3/4". 80 grams of confetti is used to fill twenty packets (that's just under 3 ounces). Pre-packaged, your confetti will come with an embossed, silver letter seal, representing your new shared initial, or a little foil stamped gold or silver heart. We do not offer the embossed initial in gold. Please remember, your decorative seal IS included in the price of your pre-packaged confetti. Price: $1.95/packet.

   For the do-it-yourselfer or for a fun project with visiting relatives, our confetti kit is a great option. Each kit includes about 100 grams of confetti (that's just over 3 1/2 ounces) and comes with 25 glassine envelopes and 25 clear sealing tabs (stuffing instructions included). These can be given to your guests for tossing, or for a keepsake. Price: $36.00/kit.

   If purchasing do-it-yourself kits, you may purchase the heart seals to go with the kits. The price for these sealing tabs is in addition to the price of the do-it-yourself kits. Price: $0.20/seal.    If your confetti is going to be tossed and you're giving your guests packets, how will you be presenting the confetti? Will you place a packet on each guest's seat or will you present a basket or tray at the entrance for guests to help themselves? If the latter is your choice, be sure to order extras as most will take one packet to keep! Another terrific option is to have someone, perhaps a flower girl or bride's maid, giving out the confetti before the Big Toss!

   If you want to be showered with A LOT of confetti, bulk confetti is your most economical solution. Offer it in a lined basket for people to take a pinch to toss or use your own packaging. Confetti in bulk could also be used as a decorative element: perhaps scattering it on the reception tables, or adding it to the packaging materials of your wedding favors. A minimum order of 200 grams (that's just over 7 ounces) is required (that's the same amount of confetti that would have come in 2 do-it-yourself kits). There are no envelopes or sealing tabs included in this price, this is just confetti. After the minimum order, in-bulk confetti must be purchased in increments of 100 grams. Again, shipping is additional. Price: $50.00 for the first 200 grams. $25.00 for each additional 100 grams.

   We currently ship our standard confetti within a few days of receiving an order. Customized confetti (see below) could take up to three weeks. Shipping cost within the U.S.A. for confetti orders for up to five do-it-yourself kits, 500 grams of bulk confetti, or up to 120 pre-packaged guest packetsis $10.95 ; for confetti orders of six or more kits, 600 grams or more bulk confetti, or for 140 or more pre-packaged guest packets, shipping is $14.95.

   A sampler of 5 guest packets of confetti may be purchased for $12.50 (includes mailing cost). Our sampler includes five different packaging options to help you decide which design is best for your wedding and they consist of each of the colors. If you place an order of $150 or more for confetti within 60 days of purchasing the confetti sampler, the price of your confetti sampler (not NYS sales tax) will be credited to your new order. New York State residents, please add your local retail sales tax to the price of the sampler and indicate your county on the order form. Sorry, discount does not apply to the confetti sampler.

   To customize your confetti, you have a couple of choices. You could foil stamp your names and wedding date on the front of the glassine envelopes. There is a one-time charge for the plate ($45) and the foil stamping charge is $0.20 per envelope. There is no minimum order required and you may choose either gold or silver foil. Personalized confetti with the foil stamped names and wedding date makes a wonderful keepsake.

   Your second choice is to personalize up to ten words of text to include with our standard word mix. There is a one time charge of $35.00 to set up your text and there is a minimum order required of $150 worth of confetti - ordered in any manner (pre-packaged, kits or bulk). If you order $300.00 or more worth of confetti, we waive the set-up charge. If you personalize text, we'll send you a fax proof for your signature. A second proof, if there are changes, is an additional $15.00.
