   Marie-Céleste Edwards (DHP's owner) began Western-style hand papermaking in 1997. For almost two years, she just made decorative plant fiber papers and bound books and boxes, mainly for individuals and a few stores. Since 2001, she's concentrated on custom handmade paper orders, for photo albums, guest books, wedding stationery and limited edition art projects.

   "Retired" now from commercial papermaking, below is Marie-Céleste's  Gallery of Handmade Papers. The papermaking studio was shut down in the Fall o 2007. MC now concentrates on her first love, printmaking.

Daffodil Paper was very special to Marie-Celeste. Until the spring of 2004 when DHP moved, the studio was surrounded by daffodils every spring - about 1500 blossoms were harvested each year! Marie-Celeste would collect the stems and blossoms one year, store them, then collect the following year's crop and then make a huge batch of paper. Alas, the new space DHP has moved into doesn't have any daffodils.
